Victoria BC, population small, noise rock contribution large. Nomeansno — Rob and John Wright's decades-long project welding post-hardcore to actual jazz with a coherence nobody else ever managed. Influenced Fugazi, influenced every smart band with polyrhythmic ambitions. One of the all-time great bands and basically nobody knows where Victoria is.
