The Seattle label. Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, Afghan Whigs, Sebadoh, Shabazz Palaces, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty. Started by Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman in the late 80s and somehow turned a grunge fanzine concept into a thirty-five-year-old institution that still puts out records that matter. Pissed Jeans made it their home in the 2000s and Sub Pop kept them there for five albums and counting.
