Tom Hazelmyer's Minneapolis label and the single greatest noise rock roster ever assembled. Cows, Helmet, Halo of Flies, Hammerhead, Tar, Guzzard, Today Is the Day, Unsane, Lubricated Goat. If it came out on AmRep in the 90s you already know what it sounds like: loud, ugly, indestructible. Hazelmyer ran the whole thing like a printing operation — hand-screened sleeves, numbered editions, covers that looked like they'd already been stepped on. The aesthetic was the music was the aesthetic.
