Michael Zilkha and Michel Esteban's NYC label, ground zero for no wave and mutant disco. Contortions, James White and the Blacks, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Suicide, Kid Creole. Short-lived, aesthetically uncompromising, a direct line from downtown NYC art-punk into whatever came next. Reactivated in the 2000s as a reissue operation. The original run was the thing.
